Alfred J. Block

Passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Saginaw; age 81 years. Alfred was born on January 2, 1942 in Saginaw, MI to the late Alfred Sr. and Helen Block. Al worked for Saginaw Steering Gear until his retirement. He enjoyed his polka family, you could always find "The Polish Fox" behind the camera at Polka Festivals around the state. Al enjoyed woodworking, he excelled at anything he put his mind to, he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Surviving are two daughters Deanna (Andrea Moss) Block of Mattawan, MI, Tonya (Dave) Yount of Saginaw, MI; grandchildren Peyton, Reese, Macie, and Deklin, Alex (Sheyna) and Amanda; great grandson Emmett.

Al was preceded in death by daughter Lauralee and grandson Mitchel.

Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Cremation to follow. Al's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider planting a tree in memory of Al.
