Alan Karis

Frankenmuth, MI

Al Karis of Frankenmuth, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at home with his wife at his side.  He was 70 years old.

Al graduated from Chesaning High School and was a truck driver, hauling fuel for Super Flite Oil Company for 36 years.

He leaves his wife of 38 years Beverly Oliver of Frankenmuth, daughters Christine (Christopher) Deming and Elizabeth (William) Bray and sons Jacob (Kimber) Hartwick and Ryan (Natalie) Miller.  He also leaves granddaughters Chloe Hartwick, Alexis Bray, Brooklynn Bray, and Isabella Bernstein, and grandsons Carter Hartwick and Jaxon Bray.

Al leaves brothers William (Jeannette) Karis and Rusty (Zelda) Wolfe and sister Kathy Hudson, brother-in-law William (Sheila) Oliver and sisters-in-law Mary (Richard) Gillette, Sherry Oliver and Patricia (Daniel) Scully and many nieces and nephews.

Al is predeceased by his parents Dale and Laura Wolfe, mother-in-law Betty Fleming, father-in-law Larry Oliver, and brother-in-law Timothy Oliver.

Al was a boat nerd and enjoyed researching and watching the freighters on the Great Lakes.  He also enjoyed working around his yard, watching westerns, camping, riding his Harley and throwing the ball for his dog Duke.  He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, sense of humor, fondness for any and all sweets, and his endearing nicknames for his children and grandchildren.

Per Al's wishes, private family services and cremation have taken place.
