Albert J. Pavlicek

Frankenmuth, MI

Albert Pavlicek, age 80 years, passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, August 27, 2019. Albert was born on November 24, 1938, in Saginaw, MI to the late Joseph and Esther Pavlicek.   He was married to Joan Maurer on June 16, 1962; she survives him. Al served in the US Army Airborne Paratrooper Unit.  He was employed by G. Heileman Brewing Company, then later at the Fortress Golf Course.  Al was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, a member of the Frankenmuth Softball Association Hall of Fame, and an avid outdoorsman and card player.  Al was a natural athlete and loved competition and sports.

Surviving besides his wife Joan are: children Susan (Mark) Jarlock of Frankenmuth, MI, Mark (Nancy) Pavlicek of Pinckney, MI, Lynn (Mike) Allington of Frankenmuth, MI; grandchildren Alyssa and Megan Jarlock, Kolton and Jake Pavlicek, and Eli Allington.

Al was preceded in death by a daughter Vickie Pavlicek and a brother Ron Pavlicek.

Memorial services will take place Friday, August 30, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 1200 E. Genesee, Frankenmuth, Michigan, Rev. Craig Ferkenstad will officiate.  Per Albert's wishes cremation has taken place.   Al's family will receive visitors Friday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.   Arrangements entrusted to Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N.
