Alberta Louise Schumacher

Vassar, MI

Passed away Friday, May 1, 2020; age 77 years. Alberta Seldomridge was born on November 16, 1942 in Tampa, FL. She was married to Ferdinand "Fred" Schumacher on December 9, 1967; he predeceased her. She graduated from University South Florida in December 1966 with BA in chemistry. She became certified in the Comprehensive Practice of Industrial Hygiene in 1987 and had a 37-year career in Occupational Health. Alberta retired from the Michigan OSHA Department in 2002. She was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Frankenmuth. Alberta most recently served as the Treasurer of Saginaw Genealogical Society and was a member of Cass River Genealogical Society. Alberta has been extremely involved with Genealogy since 2010.

Surviving are: 2 sisters, Ann and Cele; 1 niece and 3 nephews.

We would like to thank the staff at New Hope Assisted Living and Cardinal Hospice for their wonderful care of Alberta. They showed her love, compassion and dignity to the end of her life.
