Alice J. Brockelsby-Chapman

Went home to be with Jesus with family by her side Thursday, January 22, 2026 at her home; age 89 years. Alice was born on March 8, 1936 in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Michigan State University. She was married to Roy Chapman on April 2, 1983; he predeceased her on August 13, 2021.

Alice was employed as a school teacher in Chesaning Union Schools until her retirement. She was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, YMCA, and numerous Quilting Bees. She loved to travel with OLLIES.

Surviving are 3 stepchildren: Arnie (Cindy) Chapman of Tupelo, MS, Denise (William III) Stenger of Bridgeport, MI, and Steven (Cindy) Chapman of Freeland, MI; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Roy, Alice was preceded in death by her daughter Suzanne Morris-Clark, grandchild Melanie and great-grandchild Kiley.

Memorial Service will take place on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. Frankenmuth, MI. Rev. Joel Eden will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Alice's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
