Lora (Anna M.) Crichton

Lora Crichton, formerly of Davison and Lapeer passed away on March 16, 2021. She was born November 10, 1928 in Heddernheim, Germany, and lived her childhood there. After surviving World War II, she worked as a Payroll Clerk for the American Army in the I.G. Farben Building, which was General Eishenhower's Headquarters after the war. It was through a mutual acquaintance that she met her husband, Robert, who was serving in the U.S. Army occupation in Oberursel, Germany. They were married in Oberursel and lived there until September 1952, when they came to the U.S. Before moving to Lapeer in 1972, she and her family lived in Rochester and Auburn Hills. After her husband's retirement from Pontiac Motors Division, they spent 10 years between Haines City FL, and Hopkins MI before moving to Davison.

Her love for family and to have them gather together for one of her home cooked meals was very special to her. She was active in Community and Church activities and was delighted when some she had worked with was successful and achieved their potential, especially the young people she worked with. She cherished many special memories of her time as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader in her church.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Jr. (Cindy) of Columbia TN, James (Valentyna) of Denver CO, and Ronald (Linda) of Frankenmuth MI, nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband Robert and one infant granddaughter Julie Crichton.

Committal service will take place on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd. Holly, MI. Arrangements entrusted to Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth.
