Went to be with her Lord Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Covenant Medical Center Harrison with family by her side; age 80 years. Anne was born on July 8, 1942 in Evansville, IN to the late Carl (Ethel) Heldt. She graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor's in Education. She was married to Ron Bronner on December 28, 1965; he survives her.
Anne taught for two years at St. Lorenz and followed "her students" closely throughout the years, stopping teaching to raise her family. She later worked at WM Bronner and Son Contractors as their bookkeeper. Anne was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. She participated in St. Lorenz Treble Choir, led Thursday morning Bible Study for over forty years, Flint Master Singers, LWML (Missionary Guild), Rotary Christmas Party entertainer, Kaffee Klatch, Clothesline, Frankenmuth Bavarian Singers, Valpo Guild, and volunteer at St. Lorenz in many capacities.
Surviving besides her husband Ron are: two sons Matt (Jill) Bronner of Frankenmuth and Mickey Bronner of Frankenmuth; daughter Mina (Dave) Kiel of Romeo, MI; seven grandchildren: Kyle, Sydney, Grant, Tessa, Samuel, Abigail, and Gabriel; brother Carl (Jeanene) Heldt III of Evansville, IN; sister-in-law Charlotte Gilmour; and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Elaine (Philip) Schultz, brother-in-law William ("Slim") Gilmour, nephew Tom Schultz, and niece Christine Schultz.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Brad Hubbard will officiate. Anne's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in St. Lorenz Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to LWML (checks made payable to St. Lorenz, memo line LWML) or St. Lorenz Foundation.
