Ardis Alma Krafft

Frankenmuth, MI

Went home to be with her Lord on Friday December 14, 2018 at her home; age 85 years.  Ardis Krumm was born on September 7, 1933 in Sidney, NE to the late Henry and Alma Krumm. She was married to Louis E. Krafft on November 28, 1958 in North Platte, NE; he survives her. Ardis was employed by North Western Telephone Company, Michigan Bell Telephone Company, and the United States Secret Service in Detroit, MI. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church where she was a MOPS Mentor Mom, a volunteer in the St. Lorenz preschool and was active in the social ministry. Ardis loved serving others and spending time with her family.

Surviving besides her husband, Louis E. Krafft are: 3 children, James (Susan) Krafft of Northville, MI; Laura (Gary) Thomas of Livonia, MI; Daniel (Beth) Krafft of Canton, MI; 9 grandchildren, Michael (Stephanie) Krafft, Joe (Ashley) Thomas, Meghan Krafft, Julieann (Robby) Thornsberry, Nick Krafft and fiancé Katie Smith, Jeff Thomas, Andrew Krafft, Ethan Krafft, and Cameron Krafft; 4 great-grandchildren, Molly Krafft, Henry Krafft, Jaxon Thornsberry, and Kaci Lynn Thornsberry; 1 sister, Lyla (John) Buuck of Wisconsin; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Eleanor Krafft, Norman (Joanne) Krafft.

Ardis was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law Juanita (Bob) Frerichs, brother-in-law, Harold Krafft, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Luella (Al) Garchow.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.  Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery.  Ardis' family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Preschool program or St. Lorenz "Mothers of Preschoolers" (MOPS).
