Arlene D. Hohman

Vassar, MI

Passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Medilodge of Frankenmuth; age 99 years.  Arlene Rodammer was born on March 17, 1923 in Richville, MI to the late Herman and Mary (Hecht) Rodammer.  She was married to Henry J. Hohman on August 30, 1947; he predeceased her on August 20, 2007.

Together with her husband Henry, she was a dairy farmer for 31 years. She made it all possible by taking care of their children, the house, and the barn, she was Henry's biggest supporter. Arlene was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millington. She loved animals, gardening, and taking care of her flowers. Arlene made the best strawberry jam around. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children: Katherine (Aaron) Korthals of Vassar, MI, Patricia Myers of Austin, TX, Mary Hohman of Orlando, FL, and Nancy Hill of Vassar, MI; grandchildren Jonathan Briggs, Adrian and Aiden Myers, Adam Hool, Kevin and Matthew Hill, and Stefanie Hohman.

Besides her husband Henry, Arlene was preceded in death by her granddaughter Lisa Myers; great grandson Syris Myers; sons-in-law Kenneth Hill and Timothy Hool; and her brothers Rudolph and Reinhold Rodammer.

A private family burial will take place at a later date.  According to Arlene's wishes, cremation has taken place.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Millington.
