Audrey Joy Stewart

Joy Marlatt Stewart, age 99, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. She was born in St. Charles, Illinois on May 10, 1926. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruby (Burton) Anderson, her first husband of 29 years Harold L. Marlatt, her second husband of 36 years Joe V. Stewart, her daughter Susan J. Brown, her son-in-law Darhl G. Brown, and her stepdaughter Linda (James) Anderson.

Surviving are her sons William C. (Connie) Marlatt and Michael J. (Terri) Marlatt, her grandson Cory J. (Martha) Brown, her stepdaughter Kathy C. (Mike) Nicodemo, 12 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.

She was a long-time member, Deacon, and Elder of First Presbyterian Church of Peoria, IL and charter member of United Presbyterian Church of Peoria, IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private celebration of life will be held in Frankenmuth, MI. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria, IL.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity of the donor's choice.
