Benjamin O. Munson

Birch Run, MI

Passed away peacefully with family by his side Monday, July 5, 2021, at St. Mary's Medical Center; age 82 years. Ben was born on April 29, 1939 in Saginaw, MI to the late Orin and Elizabeth Munson. He was married to Nancy on June 7, 1958, she survives him.

Ben was employed by General Motors until his retirement in 1995. He was also member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

Surviving besides his wife Nancy are: 5 children Brian (Shannon) Munson of Vanderbilt, MI, Jeffrey (Roxane) Munson of Crump, MI, Timothy (Elizabeth) Munson of Birch Run, MI, Amy (Mark) Cimmerer of Williamston, MI, and Edward (Rayleen) Munson of Birch Run, MI; grandchildren Gary and Danielle Cimmerer, Ryan Cimmerer, Aurora Cimmerer, Kristin Cimmerer, Michael Munson (Jessica Pease) Ethan Munson, Matt and Tabitha Hobson, Faith Hobson, Cody and Brianne Hobson, Mariah and Robert Smiley, Ashley Mason (Corey) Madden),  Austin Mason (Jodi Smith), Sean, Eric, and Lucas Webber, Cory and Maria Runge, Erik Munson, Amanda Munson; great grandchildren June and Waylon Cimmerer, Henrick, Theron, Elliot Hobson, Ava Rajewski, Addison Munson, Avery and Flynn Webber, Noah, and Joey Schneider, Aidan and Landon; and one sister Donna Berger.

Ben was preceded in death by one grandson Curtis Cimmerer; one great grandson Zander Hobson; brothers Delton and Raymond Munson; and sister Betty Munson.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 3945 Williamson Rd. Saginaw, MI 48601. Fr. John Mancini will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Ben's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
