Went home with the Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Covenant Glenn; age 92 years. Betty Keinath was born on April 28, 1933 in Millington, MI to the late Winfried and Linda (Haubenstricker) Keinath. She was married to Victor Weiss on November 7, 1953; he predeceased her on February 4, 2014. Betty was employed by Universal Engineering and the Bavarian Inn Gift Shop. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church where she volunteered in the church office and quilting. Betty enjoyed square dancing with the Calico Twirlers, Farm Bureau, bowling, playing euchre, baking desserts, and traveling.
Surviving are children Daniel (Chandra) Weiss, Sherry (Kermit) Koester, Stanley (Diane) Weiss, Benjamin (Diane) Weiss, Pamela (Jeffrey) Hahn; 15 grandchildren, Stephanie (Joe), Jeffery (Sarah), Marsha (Edwin), Kevin (Rebekah), Kyle, Eric (Marya), Ethan (Lu), Annie (Lee), Aaron (Bria), Adam (Beth), Cassie (Dave), Curtis (Connie), Micah (Mary-Claire), Josiah (Nichole), and Rebekah (Chris); 29 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters Eunice Weiss, Edna (Darryl) McLaren, and Joan Hunt; sister-in-law Diane Keinath, Margaret Keinath, Lorraine Weiss, Hildegarde Huber and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by one son, Anthony Weiss; 5 brothers, Clarence (Elaine), Arno (Marion) Gerald, Dale, and Tom Keinath; 2 brothers-in-law Richard Hunt and Ralph Weiss.
Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate, burial to take place at St. Lorenz Cemetery. Betty's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Foundation.
