Carl H. Beyerlein

Frankenmuth, MI

Called home to his Lord Saturday February 1, 2020 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper; age 89 years. Carl was born on May 24, 1930 in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Oscar and Selma (Matzke) Beyerlein. Carl was baptized at St. Lorenz by Pastor Voss, confirmed April 2, 1944 by Pastor Meyer and Klammer. Lifelong member of St. Lorenz and served on various committees. He was employed by General Motors for 33 years. Carl enjoyed skiing, bowling, playing cards, and dancing.

Surviving are sister-in-law Sharon Beyerlein; special friends Stanley and Joni Szuber; 5 godchildren Timothy Scharich, Matt Schmitzer, James Weber, Kurt Kern, and Brenda Trinklein Bluem; and many cousins, relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, Carl was preceded in death by brother Herbert Beyerlein; 2 godsons Lester Reinbold and Ronald Parks.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Lutheran Cemetery. Carl's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the prayer service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church or Covenant Cooper Medical Center.
