Carol J. Schluckebier

Frankenmuth, MI

Went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 after a battle with cancer; age 86 years. Carol Rebber was born on August 26, 1937 in Seymour, IN to the late Ralph and Frieda Rebber. She was married to Bert Schluckebier for 56 years until he passed on October 24, 2018.

Carol was a school librarian who helped establish several school libraries, including Valley Lutheran. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, a member of the OWLS, LWML, a 4-H Leader, and taught at St. Lorenz school. Carol and her late husband Bert grew perennials in their garden. They also enjoyed antiquing and hosting estate sales.

Surviving are: daughter Cyndi (Mark) Major of Florida; son Philip (Melinda) Schluckebier of Longmont, Colorado; grandchildren Lucas and Josh Major, and Megan and Tiffany Schluckebier; sister JoAnn Beleslin, brothers Wiliam (Mary) Rebber, James (Ruth Ann) Rebber, Jerome (Diana Hall) Rebber; sister-in-law Erma O'Mary, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Bert, Carol was preceded in death by her brother Richard Rebber.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. Pastor Shawn Fenske will officiate. Carol's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
