Went home to her Lord Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Wellspring Lutheran Home; age 83 years. Carolyn was born on April 19, 1935 in Flint, MI to the late Raymond and Edna (Woodbeck) Sander and later adopted by the late Rev. Edgar Sander. Carolyn was married to Jerome Aspin, he predeceased her on June 3, 1974. Carolyn later married Raymond Wolinski to whom she was married for 40 years; he survives her.
Carolyn was employed at Sun Valley Manor of Bridgeport as a bookkeeper for 26 years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Bridgeport and served in many capacities. Her joy was singing in the church's choir. Carolyn was active in many sports including bowling, softball, golf, volleyball and chasing after her grandchildren.
Surviving besides her husband (Raymond) are: her children Lori Miller of Saginaw, MI,Cathy (Rick) Humphrey of Houghton Lake, MI, Kim Aspin of Saginaw, MI, Steven (Janet) Aspin of Birch Run, MI, Jill (Kim) Kueffner of Frankenmuth, MI, Amy (Todd) Buben of Freeland, MI; 19 beloved grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters: Karen Iseler, Edgar (Norma) Sander, Bethany Engerer, Michael (Debbie) Sander; sisters-in-laws Donna and Kathy Sander, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves many family members and treasured lifelong friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by: brothers and sister Darwin Sander, David Sander, Cherylene (George) Layer, and brother-in-law Gene Engerer.
Funeral services will take place on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 4241 Williamson Rd., Bridgeport, Michigan. Rev. Bob Allman will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Carolyn's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday at the church from noon until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Faith Lutheran Church.
