Charles A. Rohde

Buena Vista, MI

Went home with his Lord on March 29, 2018, at his home after a lengthy illness; age 72 years.  Chuck was born on August 7, 1945, in Saginaw, MI to the late Albert and Ruth Rohde.   He honorably served in the US Army in Vietnam as a scout dog handler walking point on patrols.  He married Diana Ragickas on June 22, 1968; she survives him.

Chuck was employed by General Motors and Delphi for over 30 years and was a lifelong farmer on his family's centennial farm.  He was a former member of St. James Lutheran Church where he was baptized, confirmed and married, and he was a current member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Saginaw.  He enjoyed Gera Old Tractor Days, loved traveling, woodworking and anything to do with tractors.

Surviving besides his wife, Diana, are four children: Julia Rohde of Buena Vista; Cynthia Rohde of Pearl River, NY; David C. Rohde of Midland, MI; Charles Alan Rohde of Washington, D.C., and many cousins and close friends.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway Road, Saginaw, MI.  Rev. Marilyn Robinson will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens to follow.  Chuck's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St.  on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
