Obituary

Christine Pfeffer

Frankenmuth, MI

Christine Pfeffer reached her final resting place on December 9, 2025.  Christine was born to Hermann and Elfeiede Gesierich in the Sudetenland city of Kuttelberg, Czechoslovakia on March 9, 1940. As a young girl, her family moved to Bavaria, where she would relish the views of the mountains and the Neuschwanstein Castle.  In 1956 she would meet her love leaving a movie theater.  In 1958 she married Heinrich (Heinz) G. Pfeffer and their adventures began.  Leaving their family and friends in Germany, they traveled by freighter to Manitoba Canada in 1959, Colorado Springs a few years later eventually landing in Saginaw in 1965.  In 1968 they moved to Frankenmuth as the new owners of the Frankenmuth Florist and Greenhouse where she dedicated over four decades creating world class floral designs. Christine attained the highest level of design by becoming an AIFD designer and recognized for many of her award-winning designs including a bridal bouquet that received a standing ovation. Christine's talent was shared with many floral designers that still use her techniques and style today.  In 2005 they retired to their little piece of paradise while still sharing her talents with the florist and community.

Christine is survived by nephews Volker and Ralf Dill both in Germany, Sherry Oliver of Frankenmuth, along with many, many, many friends and family in Germany and the U.S.
