Daniel L. Mills

Birch Run, MI

Passed away unexpectedly from a surgical complication, Saturday, May 9, 2020 at St. Mary's Ascension Medical Center Cooper; age 64 years. Daniel was born on March 24, 1956 in Flint, MI to the late William and Thomasina Mills. He was married to Debbie Mills on June 5 (or 6, they could never agree), 1976; she predeceased him on November 30, 2012. He graduated from Frankenmuth High School. He was employed by General Motors for over 30 years until his retirement in 2014. Dan was devoted to his family and grandkids, made the best oatmeal cookies and steak, and was a connoisseur of good bourbon.

Surviving are: 3 children Mary (Matthew) Hayes of Sanford, MI, William (Rebekah) Mills of Howell, MI, Emily Mills of Birch Run, MI; 3 grandchildren Maxwell Hayes, Madeline Hayes, and Luke Mills; 2 sisters Sue (Bob) Bielski, Holly (Jay) Pink and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions a private committal service will take place. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth.
