Dave graduated from Flint Northern High School and the University of Michigan – Flint, where he earned a B.S. He was a very passionate U of M fan and never missed a chance to proudly wear maize and blue.

He enjoyed spending time with his family around his home in Frankenmuth, as well as his cottage at Higgins Lake.  He was very proud of his service to his country and continued to serve his community for many years following his active duty, including his leadership in Boy Scouts and membership in the American Legions of Flint and then Frankenmuth.  Dave enjoyed life to it's fullest and never missed an opportunity to entertain his friends, family or complete strangers with his stories, magic tricks, Bubcaps performances, or silly jokes.  Dave will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, aspiring artist, proud patriot, and US Navy veteran.
