Diana S. "Dize" Spencer

Frankenmuth, MI

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully, with family by her side Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at her home; age 73 years. Diana was born on August 13, 1947 in Saginaw, MI to the late Roy and Elizabeth Parlberg. She was married to Kenneth Spencer on December 28, 1968 in Frankenmuth, MI; he survives her. Diana was previously employed at Crest Realty as a property manager. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing, and bingo. Diana enjoyed casino trips with her sister, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving besides her husband Ken are 3 daughters Dawn (Eric) Van Sickle of Youngsville, LA, Trish (Rich) Scharrer of Frankenmuth, MI, Heather Spencer (Charles Varnes) of Auburn, MI; grandchildren Adam Van Sickle, Sheree (Shane) Maurer, Kaylee and Brendan Scharrer, Emma Roth; great grandchildren Adriana, Logan and Skylar Van Sickle; brothers and sisters LeRoy (Mary Kay) Parlberg, Ruth (Peter) Weiss, Linda Parlberg, William (Lynne) Parlberg; brother-in-law John Spencer and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Diana was preceded in death by sister-in-law Kathy Spencer.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, November 21, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. Mark Brandt will officiate. The service will be broadcast live on the St. Lorenz website starting at 10:55 a.m. https://www.stlorenz.org/stream/ .

Diana's family will receive visitors at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the St. Lorenz Vicar Endowment Fund or the I Support the 1% Veterans Food Pantry.
