Dolores T. Kalmbach

Birch Run, MI

Passed away peacefully with family by her side Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Samaritas Senior Living; after a lengthy illness, age 92 years. Dolores Budek was born October 10, 1929 in Saginaw, MI to the late Zigmund and Anna Budek. She was married to Dale Kalmbach, he predeceased her on April 26, 2016.

Dolores was a member of Birch Run United Methodist Church and a longtime member of Saginaw County Republicans. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working on the farm. She also loved her beloved pets Coco and Smokey.

Dolores is survived by her children: Steven (Karen) Kalmbach, Carla Kalmbach, Clayton Kalmbach, Lana Kalmbach, Laura Kalmbach, and Amy (Richard) Carl; her grandchildren: Richard (Ariel) Carl, Jr., Matthew Balanowski, Sara (Brent) Green, Mark (Brooke) Balanowski, Steven (Nicole) Kalmbach, Tina (Bill) Ishmael, and Marci Carl. She also leaves many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Besides her husband Dale, she was preceded in death by her infant son Marc Kalmbach, granddaughter Brandie Carl, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Funeral service will take place on Saturday October 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. with burial to follow in Birch Run Township Cemetery. Dolores' family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Dolores Kalmbach Memorial Fund C/O Amy Carl.
