Went home to his Heavenly Father Jesus Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Hurley Medical Center; age 73 years. Don was born on January 23, 1948 in Saginaw, MI to the late Reinhold and Anita Mayer.

Don was employed by Technicolor in Memphis, TN. He was a member of South Flint Tabernacle Church and loved his Bible Studies. Don enjoyed CMU Football, watching and feeding his birds, especially cardinals, and loved his pet rabbits. He was a car enthusiast, enjoyed eating chicken, and watching "The Price is Right" and "Wheel of Fortune."

His close family survives him, Ondria, Itoro, and Ehkemini Aminy, and Ohlashia Cowley; one sister Janice Winkler; and many nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by a sister Lilly Wojt.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at South Flint Tabernacle Church, G3450 Saginaw St, Burton, MI 48529. Reverend Jason McGhee will officiate with entombment at Flint Memorial Park. Don's family will receive visitors at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
