Dorene M. Turner

Frankenmuth, MI (also of Caro)

Mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Friday, August 31, 2018, at The Lighthouse in Caro; age 81 years.  Dorene Surgent was born on December 28, 1936, in Vassar, MI to the late L.D. and Esther Surgent. She was married to Milo Turner, he predeceased her. Dorene liked to play cards, sing the oldies, and watch I Love Lucy.

Surviving are 3 children: daughter Lori (Rob) Gwisdala of Frankenmuth, MI; son Richard (Brenda) Gruszcynski of Wyoming, MI; daughter Jill (Charlie) Methvin of Hastings, MI; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 1 brother: Laurel Langworthy of Vassar, MI, Dan Surgent of Vassar, MI, Judy Cranick of Vassar, MI, and many nieces and nephews.

Dorene was preceded in death by 1 son, Michael Turner, 1 sister, Alane (Bill) Baranski, and 1 brother-in-law, Doc Langworthy.

According to Dorene's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial will take place at a later date.
