Dorothy K. Bierlein

Frankenmuth, MI

Went home with her Lord Saturday, July 3, 2021, at her home; age 96 years. Dorothy was born on November 22, 1924 in Frankenmuth, MI to the late Adam and Emma Weiss. She was married to Norbert Bierlein, he predeceased her on July 21, 1994. Dorothy worked as a beautician for many years, she also worked at the Zehnder's Bakery and the Cheese Haus and Pretzel Factory. Dorothy was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and loved watching the Detroit Tigers.

Surviving are one son and three daughters Dennis M. Bierlein of Saginaw, MI, Karen (Tom) Bowen of Frankenmuth, MI, Lori (Gary) Daenzer of Frankenmuth, MI, Cheryl (Ken) O'Brien of Frankentrost, Mi; grandchildren Brandon S. Bierlein, Lacy (David) Shafor, Melissa (Ross) Roedel, Caleb and Jacob O'Brien; great grandchildren Jon and Grace Shafor; and one sister Elberta Poellet.

Besides her husband Norbert, Dorothy was predeceased by one granddaughter Shannon Daenzer-Vasicek and one brother Ervin Weiss.

Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, July 8, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Burial to follow at St. Lorenz Cemetery. Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate. Dorothy's family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
