Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Bavarian Comfort Care, at the age of 90. Dorothy Lorine was born to Clarence and Arlita Kischnick on September 6, 1931. She was baptized by Pastor Wm. Bekemeier and confirmed by Pastor Wm. Schoenow. She married Ruben Mossner on October 7, 1950.
She leaves one daughter Connie (Michael) Laux and one son Thomas (Julie) Mossner. She also leaves 6 grandchildren: Ryan (Lisa) Laux, Jacob (Jenny) Laux, Micah (Ashley) Laux, Jeremy Mossner, Joseph (Catherine) Mossner, Andrea Mossner, and one step grandson Andrew Lucio; great grandchildren Calli, Robby, Sadie, Kendra, and Landon Laux; one sister Leona Bauer; sisters-in-law Katie Kischnick, Marion Mossner, Frances Emling, and Alice (Dave) Wigley; and brothers-in-law Glenn Mossner and Roy (Barbara) Mossner.
She was predeceased by her husband Ruben; infant daughter Sandra Fay Mossner; brother Don Kischnick; brothers-in-law Carl Bauer, Carl Mossner, and Dr. Fred Emling; and sister-in-law Marlene Mossner. She leaves many nieces and nephews and many friends here, and in Germany and Canada.
Dorothy was a homemaker, helped on the farm, and was later employed at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland for 25 years as a supervisor and a buyer. Dorothy and Ruben enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe and Canada.
Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3455 S. Van Buren Road, Richville, Michigan. Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will officiate with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. The service will be broadcast live on the Cederberg Funeral Home Facebook Page. Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth | Facebook Dorothy's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Michael's New Construction – Park Hall, St. Michael's Home Purpose Fund, or a charity of donor's choice.
