Duane Johnson

Went to his heavenly home with family by his side, Friday, February 18, 2022, age 65 years. Duane Edward Johnson was born on April 16, 1956, in Saginaw, MI to Joan and the late Dale Johnson. He was married to Diann on January 14, 1978; she survives him. He was employed by GM until his retirement in 2006. After his retirement he started his landscape business Tranquil Waterscapes. Duane was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. He enjoyed going to the gym, going to football games, and riding his Harley's big or small.

Surviving besides his wife Diann, and his mother Joan, are Caleb (Jessica) Johnson of Frankenmuth, MI and Alexandra (Jordan Holley) Johnson of Saginaw; grandchildren Samuel and Benjamin Johnson; two brothers Daniel (Tammie) Johnson and David Johnson; sister Valerie (Mike) Hill; father-in-law Joseph Eggerd; sister-in-law Debra (Tom) Kern; brothers-in-law Joseph Eggerd, and Steven (Carolyn) Eggerd and many nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by his father Dale Johnson.

Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate. The service will also be live streamed at www.stlorenz.org/stream . Duane's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Covenant VNA Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
