Edward Coha
Vassar, MI
Edward T. Coha was born December 10, 1944 (81), of Vassar, Mich, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Not many people can say they lived as full of a life as Edward. He was, predominantly, a husband, father and Christian. He was faithfully married to his wife, Terrie Coha, for 47 years before she died in 2014. Edward was a devout Catholic, attending Blessed Trinity Catholic Church for 50+ years.
Born in Mt. Morris, Michigan, Ed was the third child of Thomas and Anna Coha.
Eddie spent the majority of his years in the house he built for him and Terrie in Vassar, Mich. It was here that he built his life. He enjoyed fishing in any lake, stream or river he came upon, taking helicopters to remote areas of Canada, tinkering with electronics, and radioing people from all over the world as an amateur radio operator (HAM). Anyone who had the privilege of sitting at the Coha family table always left stuffed with stories almost too good to be true.
During his last years, Eddie suffered from many illnesses, but he still always found the time to talk to you about his great adventures. It was thankfully with ease that he passed away in the comfort of his own home and can finally be at peace.
Ed is survived by many, including: his son, Gerald (Heather) Coha, and daughter, Terrie (Brian) Cassidy; his brother Tom (Elaine) Coha; his sister Sally Heller; his granddaughters, Alexis Coha, Alivia Coha, Tabitha Cassidy (Paul Abraham), and Scerria (Robert) Ford; his great-grandchildren, Cora, Clay, Brooke and Julianne Ford, and Waylon J. C. Abraham. A special thank you to Bill and Lori Graves for always being there to help.
Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Terrie Coha, parents, Tom and Anna Coha, brother-in-law Werner Heller, and numerous other family members, and friends.
