Edward A. Becker, Jr.

Frankenmuth, MI; formerly of Saginaw, MI

Went home with the Lord Monday, February 19, 2024, at his home; age 74 years. Edward was born on April 15, 1949 in Saginaw, MI to the late Edward Sr. and Rosalie Becker. He married Patrice Strieter on December 2, 1972; she predeceased him on February 1, 2018.

Edward owned and operated E.A. Becker and Associates until his retirement. He served on the Statewide Agent Advisory Council for Blue Cross Blue Shields. Edward was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and St. Joseph the Worker in Beal City, MI.

Edward enjoyed spending his weekends with his family and friends at his cottage in the summertime and attending his grandkids' sporting events. He also enjoyed motorcycle rides, checking out classic cars, and pretty much anything with an engine. He had a true love for music and attended many concerts each year with his friends and family.

Surviving are: daughter Amanda and Joseph VanHooser of Beal City, MI and their children Gabriel and Annalise VanHooser; two sisters, Anne and Jeff Watson and Barbara Page; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife Patrice, Edward was preceded in death by son Jonathon Becker.

Funeral Liturgy will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 958 E. Tuscola Rd., Frankenmuth, Michigan. Fr. Patrick Jankowiak will officiate with entombment in St. Andrew's Mausoleum. Edward's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Cancer Society or Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
