Edwin R. Rupprecht

Frankenmuth, MI

Edwin R. Rupprecht entered God’s Kingdom on May 5, 2026, at the age of 92 years. Born to Herman and Martha (Keinath) Rupprecht on April 30, 1934, he was baptized as a child of God on May 13, 1934, and confirmed his faith on March 30, 1947, at St. Michael Lutheran Church; verse Titus 2:11-12. Ed married Carol Auernhamer on September 6, 1958, and enjoyed their many years of marriage until Carol’s death in 2004. Ed was also blessed to meet Wahnita Sharp who survives him; they married on April 24, 2010, recently celebrating 16 years together.

In 1955, Ed enlisted in the United States Armed Forces and served in the Army and Army Reserves until his honorable discharge September 1, 1961. He was a proud veteran, attending events at the American Legion, Frankenmuth Post 150. As a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Ed was a faithful servant of our Lord. He loved the church and sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ with his family and others. Ed worked for the G. Heileman (Carling) Brewing Company for 32 years until his retirement in 1990. He then joined Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland, enjoying another 25 years of service. In his spare time, Ed was busy with many activities including woodworking, tending a large garden, baking cookies and pies, traveling and always maintaining an exceptionally beautiful yard.

Surviving Ed are daughters: Nancy (Tom) Bauer, Pati (Mitch) Frank, Teresa (Andy) Gordon, and Lisa (Phil) Shrader; grandchildren: John (Sarah) Bauer, Angela (Mike) Reinert, Claire and Seth Gordon, Katherine and Carolyn Shrader; great-grandchildren: Ruben, Autumn and Hannah Bauer; step-children: David (Rachel) Burns, Jeffrey (Carina) Burns, Terri Owens, and Katie Charter; step-grandchildren: Eric (Staci) Burns, Amanda (Matt) Kinsey, Joseph Delagrange, Audriana (Tim) Knapp, Jacob (Shayla) Delagrange, David Burns, Kayli Burns, Jessica Burns, Daniel Ebert, Cole Charter, and Ella Charter; and great-step-grandchildren: Alianna, Lara, Timothy, Isaac, Asher, Violet, Trey, Ariat and Lio. Ed is also survived by loving family members, sisters Marguerite Fischer, Edna Reinbold, brother Melvin (Barb) Rupprecht and sister-in-law, Mary Rupprecht.

Ed joins Carol and many loving family members in Heaven including brothers, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will take place on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 11 a.m., St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Ed’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and at the church Monday from10 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Foundation or St. Lorenz OWLs Ministry.
