Elaine Marie Baur

Elaine Marie Baur, 82, of Frankenmuth, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Medilodge. She was born on February 8, 1942, to Kenton and Mary Louise (Faille) Stephens.

Elaine retired as a manager from Meijer, where she dedicated many years of service. She enjoyed shopping and was a passionate advocate for stray animals, often dedicating her free time to helping animals in need. Elaine was also a proud member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, where she found strength and community.

Elaine is survived by her husband of over 40 years Larry, her children Tami (Foley) Lewis, Todd Foley, John T. (Shelly) Foley, and stepson Linal (Melissa) Baur. She was a devoted grandmother to 10 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Carol Ann (Robert) Schank, John (Sharon) Stephens, and Bill (Ann) Stephens. She was preceded in death by her sisters Selina Kellner and Kathleen Empey.

Her kindness, compassion, and dedication to both her family and the animals she loved will always be remembered.

A private service will be held to honor Elaine's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pet Angel Adoption and Rescue in Frankenmuth.
