Went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at her home; age 96 years. Elva Trinklein was born May 15, 1924 to the late Emanuel and Florence (Schluckebier) Trinklein. On May 25, 1947 she married Luther Kehrberg at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Luther predeceased her on October 25, 2001.
Elva was born, raised, educated, and married in Frankenmuth. She spent her entire life in her beloved city. Her parents started the first commercial milk delivery in Frankenmuth and surrounding area. She delivered milk from age 6 until the time her parents sold the business. Elva was involved in many community programs such as school athletics, girl scouting, Board of Trade Days, and Bavarian Festival. She was also active in the Frankenmuth Women's Club, a member of the CEC Board, Museum Board, Greater Frankenmuth Area Foundation, and a member of the National Bank Women's Association.
Elva retired from First of America Bank after 33+ years of service. She was hired by the President of Frankenmuth State Bank Otto Trinklein and she ultimately attained the status of Vice President and Office Manager.
She is survived by her sister Virginia Trinklein Lawrence and her beloved nieces and nephews Dennis Trinklein, Cheryl Rapson, Rev. Gary Miller, Joan Koerschen, Judy Bauer, Donald Miller, Jeanne Sanborn, Perry Lawrence, Lorry Peterson and Randy Lawrence.
Besides her husband Luther, Elva was preceded in death by her brother Melvin Trinklein and sister Flora Trinklein Miller.
Funeral services will take place Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. The service will be broadcast on the St. Lorenz website at https://www.stlorenz.org/stream/ . Burial will take place in St. John's Cemetery Frankenmuth. Elva's family will receive visitors at the church from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Per the family's request please wear a mask at all times in church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the St. Lorenz Lutheran School Tuition Fund.
