Esther Fager

Frankenmuth, MI

Esther passed into life eternal on January 6, 2022; age 100. She was born on September 30, 1921, to the late Edwin and Hattie Weiss in Frankenmuth. She was married to Willard "Pete" Fager on May 30, 1947. They were married for 65 years. Esther was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School and St. Mary's School of Nursing. She worked as an R.N. for Dr. H.O. Helmkamp for 37 years in Saginaw. She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.

Surviving relatives are daughter Sue (Jon) Korpalski of Lapeer and son Pete (Marilyn) Fager of Otsego; she was very proud of all her grandchildren Kari (Dave) Ballman, Matthew (Gina) Fager, Kate (Nate) Mutch, and Kyle (Mallory) Korpalski; and great grandchildren Ryan and Rachel Ballman, Averie Mutch, Gemma Fager, and Kaylie, Molly and Wilson Korpalski. She leaves a brother Louie (Kathy) Weiss and in-laws Marion Fager and Rebecca Fager.

She always had special treats for her grandchildren and great grandchildren under her bed when they visited. She was a strong, caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed but never forgotten by all her family and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Joel Kaiser will officiate. Esther's family will receive visitors at church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
