Esther E. Haubenstricker

Frankenmuth, MI

Went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Covenant Glen of Frankenmuth; age 92 years. Esther Keinath was born on May 3, 1931 to the late Martin and Agnes (Palmreuter) Keinath. She was married to Wallace "Hobby" Haubenstricker on February 4, 1951 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville; he predeceased her on June 1, 2014.

Esther was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and served on its Ladies Aid. She was employed by Frankenmuth School District for 26 years as a bus driver. Esther served as den mother for Cub Scouts in Frankenmuth, was an avid baker, baking confirmation cakes for her family, and enjoyed canning vegetables.

Surviving are: three sons and one daughter: Ronald Haubenstricker of Frankenmuth, MI; Marcus Haubenstricker of Otisville, MI; Jacalyn (Robert) Kuchar of Fruitport, MI; and Rick (Lyn) Haubenstricker of Saline, MI; Five grandchildren, Rachel (Conor) O'Donovan, Sarah (Ryan) Parkinson, and Gabriel Kuchar; Adam and Natalie Haubenstricker; great-granddaughter Eimear O'Donovan; and sister Marilyn (Charles) Aldrich.

Besides her husband Wallace, Esther was preceded in death by brother Arnold (Lois) Keinath and sister Arlene (Fred) Aven.

Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth. Esther's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Esther's service will be livestreamed at https://www.stlorenz.org/stream/ . In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Wellspring Lutheran Services or St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
