 Esther L. Sprowl

Saginaw, MI formerly of Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at Healthsource Saginaw; age 98 years. Esther Trier was born on August 20, 1928 in Saginaw, MI to the late Martin and (Anna Gricar) Trier. Esther was employed by the U.S. Postal Service until her retirement and various other places after retirement.

Esther was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church and a previous member of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed golf, bingo, and gardening and she was a hockey fan. Esther loved her dogs. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are children Harold “Bud” Sprowl of Mio, MI, Terry “Duck” (Tooney) Sprowl of Frankenmuth, MI, Tonja Sprowl of Freeland, MI, Ricky (Karen) Sprowl of St. Charles, MI, Sue (Jack) Hulme of Florida; 18 beloved grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 11 great, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Esther was preceded in death by sons Stephen and Michael Sprowl, and brother Walter Trier and sister Betty Hawkins.

Funeral Service will take place on Monday, October 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Esther’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday, October 11th from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
