Eugene H. "Otis" Knoll

Passed away peacefully Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Covenant Medical Center Cooper; age 77 years.  Eugene was born on December 23, 1942 in Saginaw, MI to the late Herman and Lorine (Herzog) Knoll.  He was married in 1964 to his high school sweetheart Beverly Vanek, she survives him.  "Otis" honorably served in the National Guard, continued to work the family farm and was employed by Universal Engineering for 40 years, until his retirement in 2003.  He was active in the UAW throughout his career and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, visiting with friends and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and grand dogs.  Otis enjoyed watching the Tigers, Lions, and MSU sports. He loved holiday parties with family and friends, especially his impromptu birthday parties on December 23 ^rd .

Surviving besides his wife Beverly are:  his children Douglas (Terri) Knoll, Deanna (Steve) Adler; grandchildren Kyra, Delaney, Cade, Nicholas, Elise, and Molly; his sister Dolores (Charles) Rodammer; sisters and brothers-in-law Marcy Conaway, Sharon Vanek, Mary Reinbold, Cyndi Keuhn, David Vanek, Brian McDonald, and David Nye.

Eugene was preceded in death by a daughter Kelly Carey.

A Private Family Service will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2020.   Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate with burial in St. Lorenz Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, City of Saginaw Rescue Mission or Frankenmuth Conservation Club.
