Went to be with her Lord Monday, January 28, 2019 at Eden Fields, Standish, Mi; age 77 years. Eunice Fischer was born on December 29, 1941 in Saginaw, MI to the late Arno and Elsie Fischer. She was married to Victor Childers on July 5, 1987 on Lake Charlevoix, he survives her. She was employed by the State of Michigan until her retirement in 1997. Eunice was a lifelong Lutheran, who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, bird and butterfly watching and traveling after her retirement.
Surviving besides her husband Victor are: children; Karen (Gary) Gee of Avoca, MI, Donna (Ron Welsch) Setterington of Burton MI, Paul (Jennie) Setterington of Orland, IN, Eric Earns of Indianapolis, IN, daughter-in-law; Wendy Cook Flushing, MI, stepdaughter; Ruby Childers of Lansing. Grandchildren; Lesa (Chris) Brown, Christopher (Jessica) Setterington, Aaron Setterington, Andrew Earns, C.D. Hutcherson, Kaiden Earns, Veronica Joseph, great granddaughter; Jillian Parker. Brother and sisters; Phyllis Avery, Kenneth (Nancy) Fischer, Rhea (Jim) Bartels, Lori Payne, many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Eunice was preceded in death by: grandson; Robert Gayle Setterington, brothers-in-law; Robert Avery, Gary Payne, mother-in-law; Marcella Jean Childers.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin Street. Eunice's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Payne Cemetery in Gratiot County. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Bethesda Lutheran Communities, or Special Olympics of Michigan.
