Frances Bierlein

Passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Covenant Glen; age 86 years. Frances Oldenburg was born on September 3, 1937 in Saginaw, MI to the late Walter and Eleanora (Beyer) Oldenburg. She was married to Gerald C. Bierlein on October 20, 1956 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Frankentrost; he predeceased her on July 4, 2018. Frances was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Frankenmuth. She was a former Stephen Minister and was retired from T.W. Johnston, IGA.

Surviving are son Ricky (Ellen) Bierlein; daughter Sue (Bernie) Taylor; daughter-in-law Maria (Geyer) Bierlein; grandchildren Christopher (Heather) Bierlein, Melissa (Kenny) Kern, Joshua (Kayla) Taylor, Jennifer (Jeremy) Von Fintel, Elizabeth Pollick, and Anthony (Tamie) Pollick; great grandchildren Makayla (Corbin) Boensch, Erik, Eva, Ruben, Riley, Morgan, Milena, Madeline and Max; great-great grandson Mason; sister Carol Beythan; sisters-in-law Rosalie Oldenburg and Margaret Oldenburg; brother-in-law Ewald "Fred" (Cindy) Bierlein; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her loving husband Gerald, Fran was preceded in death by son Darwin Bierlein; brothers Richard and Larry Oldenburg; sister and brother-in-law Bonnie (Henry) Hrinik; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lois (William) Pruit.

Funeral Service will take place on Monday, July 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Fran's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church or a charity of donor's choice.
