Frances "Fran" Greis

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Covenant Medical Center Harrison; age 82 years. Frances Zehnder was born on June 6, 1937 in Saginaw, MI to the late Elmer and Gertrude Zehnder. Frances was baptized and confirmed at St. Lorenz. She graduated as valedictorian Birch Run class of 1955. She was married to Robert Greis; he predeceased her. She worked at Fischer Body, General Motors. Fran was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Frankenmuth Women's Club. Fran enjoyed golfing, quilting, and playing cards. She also enjoyed volunteering at the concerts in the park.

Surviving are: daughter Pamela (Kevin) Pierce née Boesenecker; grandsons Matthew (Maddison Culver) Pierce and Mark (Devon Wright) Pierce; step-children Mike (Linda) Greis, Cathy (Abe) Babcock, and their families; sister Barbara (Virgil) Diamond.

Fran was preceded in death by a sister Ellen (Ted) Wescoat.

Due to COVID 19 restrictions a private service will take place. Webcasting will take place Friday, June 5 ^th at 11 a.m. on the St. Lorenz Lutheran Church website.
