Gary A. Hammond

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 9, 2024 at his home; age 68 years. Gary was born on May 27, 1956 in Saginaw, MI to the late William and Virginia (Scott) Hammond.

Gary was a graduate of Hemlock High School.  Gary went on to study HVAC and earned a degree from Ferris State University. Gary worked in the HVAC industry his whole life. Most recently he owned and operated Blue Sky Mechanical Commercial HVAC in South Carolina until his retirement. Gary loved sports, especially golf and the Detroit Tigers.

Surviving are: wife and longtime companion Renee LeClair Hammond, one son Douglas (Megan) Hammond of Birch Run; stepchildren Eric (Emily) LeClair of Waxhaw, NC, Raymond LeClair of Tega Cay, SC, Elisha Gill of Raleigh, NC, step-grandchildren Ariana and Chris Gallagher, Henri LeClair, brothers Gregory and Jeffrey Hammond; and sisters Darlene (Michael) Savage and Diana Rappley.

According to Gary's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 19th from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Swan Valley Golf and Banquet Center, 9521 Higland Green Dr. Saginaw, MI 48609. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to CAN Council of Saginaw County.
