George A. Dice

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County; age 88 years. George was born on September 20, 1937 in Saginaw, MI to the late L. Avery and Lucille Dice. He was married to the former Janet Dilts on March 3, 1973; she survives him. George was a Real Estate broker serving all over Michigan until his retirement. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Rochester, MI. George played college baseball at Alma, the minor leagues for the Philadelphia Phillies, and coached many High School baseball teams. He was a big Detroit Tigers fan.

Surviving besides his wife Janet are children Susan (Paul) Owens of Big Rapids, David Somerville of Frankenmuth, Gretchen Dice Hebekeuser of Flushing; 8 grandchildren and 1 brother Richard Dice of Chelsea.

George was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Renee Somerville.

Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. Rev. Ryan Wenburg will officiate. Cremation has taken place. George's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, November 15th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
