Geraldine A. "Gerry" Swanson

Frankenmuth, MI

Loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother went home with her Lord on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Covenant Cooper; age 94 years. Geraldine Jones was born on July 7, 1929 to the late Clare A. and Leah M. (Middleton) Jones. She was married to Frederick L. Swanson on October 20, 1956; he predeceased her on July 4, 1998. Gerry was employed by Port Huron W.B.A Insurance. After moving to Saginaw, she was a secretary at Michigan Mutual and Redeemer Lutheran School. Her last job was at the Wedding Haus of Frankenmuth. Gerry was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. She had a passion for bowling, enjoyed taking walks and playing cards. Gerry enjoyed attending the car show on Friday night. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons David (Connie) Swanson of Frankenmuth and Kenneth Swanson, also of Frankenmuth; grandchildren Stephanie (Matthew) Wright of Clio and Crystal Swanson of Saginaw; great grandchildren Oliver and Cooper Wright; one brother Ronald Jones of Port Huron.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Burial to follow in St. Lorenz Cemetery. Geraldine's family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Media Ministry.
