Obituary

 Harry J. Keipinger

Vassar, MI

Harry completed his earthly journey on Monday, August 31, 2026 at age 77 years, encompassed by the love and support of those he cherished. Harry was born on November 26, 1948 to the late John (Lillian) Keipinger. He married Marlene Huber on July 22, 1978; she predeceased him on July 19, 2024. Harry was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Millington, he was employed by General Motors, Grey Iron until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and hunting. He was always willing to lend a hand when he could. Harry most of all loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed family gatherings.

Surviving are three children: John Keipinger of Vassar, Paul (Keri Valentine) Keipinger of Vassar, and Kelly (Tony) Butts of Swartz Creek; grandchildren Noah, Lydia and Elijah Keipinger and Hunter Butts; sisters Lucy Keipinger and Lena Keipinger; brother Leroy Keipinger, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Besides his wife Marlene, Harry was preceded in death by grandchild Madison Butts; sisters Ellie Richmond, and Luanne Smith; brothers Mike Keipinger and Willard Keipinger, and sister-in-law Judy Keipinger.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4941 Center St. Millington, MI. Rev. Jim Bruner will officiate with burial to follow in Millington Township Cemetery. Harry’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from noon until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Millington.
