Her passion for children was unrivaled, from studying education at Central Michigan to her charitable donations to St. Jude's.
During her college years, she went on a blind date that changed her life! She met her future husband of 61 ½ years, Lyle Gerald Davis, Sr. Their love story was unparalleled, modeling decades of devotion and adoration to their family and their faith. Lyle survives his wife.
Helen was committed to raising her five children: Lyle, Jr. and (Julie) Davis; Scott and (Leanne) Davis; Todd and (Lynette) Davis; Christy and (Matthew) Leeseberg; and Cynthia and (Brian) Lance.
She is also survived by her thirteen beloved grandchildren: Lyle Davis, III; Lindsay and (Adam) Walters; Kaylee and (Garrett) Kerns; Megan Davis; Jillian Davis; Travis and (Morgan) Davis; Layne and (Tanner) MacKay; Jared Davis; Alec Leeseberg; Kallen Leeseberg; Kenzie Leeseberg; Tyson Lance; and Kendall Lance and three great-grandchildren; Jack Walters, Rory Kerns, and Scout MacKay.
Helen is survived by two siblings; a brother, Thomas and (Carol) Ryan, a sister, Colleen and (Ken) Anderson, brother-in-law Terry McInerney, and many nieces / nephews.
She is pre-deceased by her parents, Thomas H. Ryan and Ruth Ann (Hagen) Ryan; and her sister, Ruth Ann (Ryan) McInerney.
Along with the love for her family, Helen enjoyed attending Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, traveling, wintering in Marco Island Florida, shopping, and – of course – getting her nails done and ice cream!
