Helen Koch

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away Saturday September 19, 2020 at Covenant Medical Cooper; age 91 years. Helen Hoppe was born on August 9, 1929 in Saginaw, MI to the late Fredrick and Amelia Hoppe. She was married to Robert for 68 years on May 1, 1948; he predeceased her on July 8, 2016. Helen was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Frankenmuth and the LFA. She helped with the American Legion chicken barbecue, assisted people in physical need and loved to bowl and polka.

Surviving are 3 daughters and a son: Brenda Koch, Sherry (Bill) McQuiston, Denise (Rick) Fix, and Brian (Misty) Koch; 9 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 sister and 4 brothers Esther Morley, Fred Hoppe, John Hoppe, Carl (Janice) Hoppe and Ernest Hoppe.

Besides her husband Robert, Helen was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, granddaughter-in-law, a step granddaughter, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

A private family service will take place. Rev. Patrick Ernst will officiate with cremation to follow with burial at a later date in St. John's Cemetery.  Helen's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Wednesday September 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church or St. Mary's Guardian Angel Adult Respite Care.
