Hope C. Hecht

Passed away peacefully with family by her side, after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Covenant Medical Center Harrison; age 56 years. Hope Luce was born on October 10, 1969 in Adrian, MI to the late Gene Luce and Doris Luce. She married Jason Hecht on March 5, 1994 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville; he survives her. Hope was a previous teacher's aide at St. Michael's and a Vet Tech at Laursen vet services. Hope was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Richville, she enjoyed traveling and gardening, but most of all she loved being with her family and friends.

Surviving besides her husband, Jason, are 3 daughters: Jessica (Andrew) Briggs of Clinton Township, MI, Abigail (Thomas) Brummeler of Muskegon, MI, and Samantha Hecht of Vassar, MI; 1 grandson Jeremiah; 1 granddaughter Lilah; one soon to be born granddaughter Daisy; and 2 brothers Derrick Luce and Kevin Luce.

Funeral service will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 3455 S. Van Buren Road, Richville, Michigan. Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will officiate with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Hope's family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. on Sunday, April 26th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
