Passed away peacefully with family by his side Friday, March 5, 2021, at his home; age 87 years. Howard was born on May 29, 1933 in Richville, MI to the late William Sr. and Matilda Weber. Howard was married to Ione on March 17, 1953 in Highland Park, MI; she survives him. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy. Howard was employed as a carpenter by Baker Builders, and Dennis Weber Builders. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Richville and American Legion Post 400. He maintained his lawn and took pride in ownership.
Surviving besides his wife Ione of 67 years are children Vickie (Dennis) Gruber, Brian (Carolyn) Weber, Keith (Michele) Weber, Scott (Bonnie) Weber, Julie Ross, Curt Weber; grandchildren Kelly (Aaron) Cederberg, Eric (Autumn) Weber, Laura (Ben) Holcomb, Christopher (Gwen) Weber, Gary (Kate) Weber, Rachel (Grant) Hilger, Chad (Deanna) Ross, Kayla (Zach) Heinlein, Danielle Weber and special friend Andrew; 24 great grandchildren; grand daughter-in-law Anne Weber; sisters-in-law Betty Weber and Lorine Nickodemus; brother-in-law Glenn (Marilyn) Nickodemus, and many nieces and nephews.
Howard was preceded in death by grandchildren Doug Gruber, Dan Weber, Tom Weber; grand daughter-in-law Kimmy Weber; brothers Albert (Dorothy) Weber and William Weber Jr.; sister Vera (Clarence) Schluckbier; and 2 infant brothers.
Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Richville, where it will be webcast live on the St. Michael's Lutheran Church Facebook page. Rev. Wesley Gillaspie will officiate with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. Howard's family will receive visitors at St. Michael's Lutheran Church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service. There will be a public celebration of life at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, or I support the 1% Veterans food pantry.
