Irene P. Poellet

Frankenmuth, MI

Passed away peacefully Monday, January 1, 2024 at her home; age 93 years. Irene was born on February 26, 1930 in Saginaw, MI to the late Lorenz and Irma (Rummel) Bickel. She was married to Norman Poellet on November 26, 1949, he predeceased her on September 7, 2005. Irene was a lifelong member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards and going out to dinner. Irene loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are a son and two daughters, Michael (Renita Falkenstern) Poellet of Saskatoon, Canada, Audene (Louis) Cormendy of Frankenmuth, Pamela Roesner of Freeland, MI; eight grandchildren Nathan (Chelsey Schaffle) Poellet, Lara (Blake Ruehlen) Poellet, Paul (Sarah) Cormendy, Rachel (Andy) Reeder, Zachary, Joshua, Stephanie, and Luke Roesner; eleven great grandchildren; one brother James (Sharon) Bickel; sister-in-law Beulah Poellet, and several nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by son-in-law David Roesner and brother-in-law Arnold "Mac" Poellet.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola St. Frankenmuth, MI. Rev. Shawn Fenske will officiate. Irene's family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
