Nuechterlein, Irma "Susie"

Frankenmuth, MI

Went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Covenant Glen of Frankenmuth; age 91 years.  Irma "Susie" was born on September 23, 1931 at her homestead to the late William and Linda Rohn. She was married to Carroll "Bob" Nuechterlein on October 15, 1949; he predeceased her on June 1, 1994.

Irma was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. She had many talents including crafting and flowers and was well known as a cake decorator for many years.

Surviving are her children Wayne (Barbara) Nuechterlein, John (Sandra) Nuechterlein, Mark (Pauline) Nuechterlein, and Laurie (Andrew) Czymbor, all of Frankenmuth; grandchildren Philip (Rebecca) Nuechterlein, Bethany (Marty) Ciurlik, Timothy (Megan) Nuechterlein, Jennifer Nuechterlein, Jason (Nikki) Nuechterlein, Darby (Kevin) Tozer, Garrett (Heather) Nuechterlein, Emily (Daniel) Svacha, Matthew (Jerica) Humpert; four step grandchildren Kevin (Jacci) Czymbor, Deanna (Adam) Gaspar, Rebecca (Karl) Bankwitz, Ryan (Joanna) Czymbor; twenty-three great-grandchildren; a sister Irene Engel and many nieces and nephews.

Irma was preceded in death by her siblings Edward Rohn, Mildred (Ernst) Daenzer, William (Lynda) Rohn, Raymond (Katherine) Rohn, Marilyn (Raymond) Zehnder, and brother-in-law Raymond Engel.

Funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 8, 2022, 12 noon at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, 1030 W. Tuscola, Frankenmuth, Michigan. Irma's family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
