Ivah G. Kerr

Frankenmuth, MI

On October 4, 2020 Jesus took our mother at age 103 to be with HIM in her new heavenly room. Ivah G. Kerr was born in Taymouth Township to loving parents Harold Sr. and Edna (Loomis) McIntosh on February 22, 1917. Ivah was baptized, and in her later years married her high school sweetheart Glenn Kerr in the Taymouth Presbyterian Church on August 5, 1937. They shared almost 81 years together. Glen predeceased her on August 1, 2018. Ivah later became a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, Frankenmuth, and was a member of the treble choir. Ivah retired from General Motors, A.C., after 32 years of service as an inspector. She loved music, especially when she and Glen played their violins. Ivah also enjoyed gardening, working with flowers and knitting, but most of all she loved her family.

Surviving are her daughter Jeanne (Bob) Moore and her son Tom (Joannie) Kerr both of Frankenmuth, MI; four grandchildren Mark Moore of Vancouver, WA, Paul (Pamela) Moore of Birch Run, MI, Kelly Kerr of Frankenmuth, MI Karri (Gary) Darling of Fenton, MI; six great grandchildren Christopher Kerr, Caleb (Allison) Kimsel, Alexis Moore, Abigail Darling, Ryan Moore and Lindsey Moore; brother Harold Jr. (Carol) McIntosh of Montrose, MI; and brother-in-law Jack E. Kerr of Frankenmuth, MI.

Ivah was preceded in death by an infant son James Martin Kerr; sisters Jean (Richard) Leach, Jessie (Reid) Whitman, Clara (Albert) Spero; and sisters-in-law Annabelle Periard and Virginia McIntosh.

Ivah's family would like to thank the Covenant Glen staff and caregivers and the Covenant Hospice for the blessing they were to her.

A private memorial service will take place with burial in Cook Cemetery, Taymouth Township. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity of donor's choice.
