By Grace, James G. Abraham was called Home into his Heavenly Father's welcoming arms on November 27, 2018, at the age of 67, after a brief battle with cancer in his bones. James was born on December 12, 1950, to the late Otto and Viola (Hetzner) Abraham in Saginaw. He became a Child of God through his Baptism on January 7, 1951. He lived his entire life on Abraham Acres. James attended Immanuel Frankentrost Kosche School grades 1-8, Buena Vista High School graduating class of 1968, and Delta College graduating in 1970 with an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering. His major working career was with Saginaw Machine Systems 1976-2015. James was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Frankentrost, serving on various church and school boards and organizations. His best times were singing with the Adult and Men's Choirs since 1968. His favorite moments were spending time with his family, golfing, camping, bowling, gardening, and caring for the birds and kittens.

On August 11, 1979, James married Linda Broekemeier in West Point, Nebraska. Their marriage was blessed with (3) children: His Favorite Daughter Rachel Abraham, His Favorite Eldest Son Aaron (Jennifer) Abraham, and His Favorite Youngest Son Caleb (Emily) Abraham; and (3) grandchildren: Noah, Olivia, and Joel.

Others surviving him include Brothers: John (Doris) Abraham and Larry (Judy) Abraham; Father-in-Law: Gerhard Broekemeier; Sister-in-Law: Jane (Gary) Tillman; Brother-in-Law: Robert (Christina) Broekemeier; Nieces & Nephews: Ben Abraham, Rebecca Abraham (Thomas Blome), Julie (Ryan) Branch, Eric (Karyn) Abraham, Cari (George) Brundage, Amanda (Josh) Bermudez, Daniel (Kristin) Miller, Micah (fiancée Jennifer) Broekemeier, Judah Broekemeier, and Hannah Broekemeier; and many Abraham & Hetzner Cousins and Relatives.

James was predeceased by his parents, Mother-in-Law Mae Broekemeier, Sister-in-Law & Brother-in-Law Ruth & Bobby Lee Miller.

A special Thank-You to all the caring doctors, nurses, aides, and therapists at U of M Medical Center, Glacier Hills Care & Rehab Center Ann Arbor, Wellspring Hospice of Frankenmuth, and the office of Dr. James Shetlar.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 8220 Holland Rd., Frankentrost, MI.  Rev. Mark Loest will officiate with burial in St. John's Cemetery, Frankentrost.  James' family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St.  on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial suggestions in memory of James may be contributed to Immanuel Lutheran Church (Uniting to Build Fund), James & Christel Neuendorf Missionary Fund, or Valley Lutheran High School Growing Campaign. Sharing Jesus' grace and mercy with others were important to him throughout his life!
